This video screams "Black lives matter"

I am grateful that I can vote people into stuff. Even if half the time I don't get the guy or girl I want in charge.

There are a handful of videos where you can start out sort of being on board with what Prager is saying, and then it falls apart. Being grateful is good, but it doesn't just happen. It's hard to be grateful when your life feels like it's all about pursuing money for the sake of just getting by. Being grateful is a good thing in some instances, but when your mind is burdened and domineered out of necessity by the need to produce for your apathetic greedy employer who does little if any good for society, you cannot trick yourself into… Read more »

I'm grateful for ungrateful people. I'm grateful for all the bad in the world.

I can't imagine how one can be grateful for very long without Christ.

Even just a smile can teach gratitude. Excellent lesson Dennis! Have a good day! 🙂

Than in that case I'd rather stay angry. I'm not gonna be grateful to the fact that almost half of the world population can barely make ends meet. I most certainly don't need a rich neoliberal who's had everything handed to him in a silver platter tell me to be grateful to the status quo when he's deluded himself into believing all is fine and well

It has already made an impact on my mind and I have been in a funk.
This video is exactly what I needed to see so I will embody this philosophy.
Just in time for thanksgiving 🙂

Like much of conservative values, this is a good mindset for the individual. I'm better off believing that my life will be better if I'm grateful for what I have, and don't believe that I am entitled to anything and not a victim. But it does not necessarily lead to good social or economic policy. There are real victims of society, past and present, who despite all the gratitude and hard work in the world, have the deck stacked against them and will fail. Yes, they're typically better off believing the described values, but society is better off if they… Read more »

I guess stay away from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. is an act of gratitude.

This is so true! Contentment and being grateful are essential to finding peace and happiness. I've vowed never to take free money from social programs etc. because I know it will make me unhappy in the long run.

Dennis, I am grateful you taught me this years ago. I am happy every time I take account for all the great things I have going on in my life. Also, GRATEFUL = GREATFUL. People who are grateful do great things.

…And the ungrateful Liberal Fascist bigots of Youtube have deemed this video unworthy of earning ad revenue, for which I am grateful that I don't have to pay a stupid monthly fee to the ungrateful Liberal Fascist bigots of YT to not be annoyed by their endless ads on videos I want to watch anyhow, that the ungrateful Liberal Fascist bigots of YT want to censor, and make their creator's ability to earn a living extremely difficult, all because thats what ungrateful Liberal Fascist bigots do.

Some people are wealthier than any of their ancestors, live easier and more comfortable lives than any of their ancestors, haven't died of any illness that their ancestors did… yet they won't feel grateful for anything.

This is a wonderful message. You know, I really am a lucky guy. I will be more grateful. Thank you

This is 100% spot on. This was posted on Monday. That's so strange. My poly sci professor posed a question concerning the skyrocketing suicide rate in developed nations. I said that people living in better conditions aren't able to compare their current lives to worse conditions and are thus unhappy in the same conditions they were born into, and that people are lacking gratitude. Gratitude is indeed the key to happiness, no matter what the material circumstances.

I see comments from people about gratitude being demotivating. As a Christian, I live life consistently reminded that I deserve nothing because of my sin, but that I have gotten everything through salvation. You do not have to believe that to be grateful for what you have, but in my case, it certainly helps. Do I, therefore, have no motivation? Obviously not. My gratitude does not mean that I am satisfied; specifically, I am unsatisfied with how I am using the gifts I have been given. I expect myself to be a better person, and to pay back the service… Read more »

I'm 52. Since age 17 I've been working and paying taxes. Not once on government help. I plan on retiring and collecting Social Security at age 65, or 70 if I can still work. HOWEVER – The annual SS statement says that by that time, only 70% of what they calculate now I'd be receiving then, would be available. Yes, I'd have other sources of income as well, so SS would not be my only bread and butter. But it is unforgivable to see that you work all your life, paying for other people's benefits, and when it's your turn… Read more »

Thank you Dennis— I needed this. It’s 12am, still a ton of work left to do— I opened Prager U to rewatch the work ethic video to get pumped, saw this. Before opening the video, just seeing the title and thumbnail flooded me with all my internal feelings of gratitude to my coworkers, my boss, the opportunity at my company, and the feelings of fatigue and frustration flew out the window. Ready to finish my work. —a liberal millennial

Shouldn't I feel ungrateful with the state if I was born in a dictatorship (Cuba in my case)?

I feel that it would be a good model in life if you feel depressed. However, it may make things complicated when at work, your customer has reason to feel that you owe them something, especially if they invested some money into it. Likewise, people under the management system might not feel entitled to certain things, but may not be accountable or responsible for doing so. So if a customer feels unhappy, it could lead to issues from the customer services is reported the issue, then it goes down the chain of command to the supervisor who wants the issue… Read more »

im 13 year old boy and im subscribed and watch all of your videos. this really helps me because i have a exremely liberal teacher who is a 3rd wave feminist teaching us human rights, and womens rights. obviously not a good idea. teaches us that we are all victims and everything that goes against these videos. sent him the wage gap video to share with the class. the class said it was attacking women. but it makes sense since only 1 other kid in the class is not a liberal, and 3 people who have no political veiws whatsoever.… Read more »
